The Young Feminist AI School is a 12-week online programme that introduces young leaders to the opportunities and challenges of Artificial Intelligence from a feminist, human rights, and social justice perspective.

The programme is designed for young people who want to understand how AI can be applied responsibly to support advocacy, civic participation, public policy, and community development. Throughout the programme, participants will combine live learning sessions with practical assignments while collaborating with other young leaders from around the world.

Participants will also develop a practical project that addresses a real-world challenge using AI. These projects may include advocacy campaigns, civic technology solutions, policy tools, or action plans aimed at strengthening democratic participation and promoting gender equality.

Before any project is publicly shared, it will undergo a responsible AI and human rights review covering areas such as privacy, consent, bias, verification, and human oversight.

Selected participants will receive:

• Free participation in the Young Feminist AI School.
• A 12-week online learning experience running from August to October 2026.
• Weekly live learning sessions led by experienced facilitators.
• Approximately four hours of learning and practical activities each week.
• The opportunity to design and develop a real-world AI project.
• Training on responsible AI, ethics, human rights, and democratic participation.
• Access to recorded sessions for participants who are unable to attend live classes.
• Opportunities to collaborate and network with young leaders from different countries.

Applicants should meet the following requirements:

• Be 18–30 years old.
• Be from any country worldwide.
• The programme strongly encourages applications from young women and girls.
• Have an interest in gender equality, youth leadership, civic engagement, advocacy, democracy, or social justice.
• No technical or Artificial Intelligence background is required.
• Be willing to commit approximately four hours per week throughout the programme.

The programme will run for 12 weeks between August and October 2026.

Participants are expected to dedicate approximately four hours each week, including:

• One 2-hour live online session.
• Around 2 hours of practical assignments and project work.

Throughout the programme, participants will build a practical project such as:

• An advocacy campaign.
• A policy tool.
• A civic technology prototype.
• A democratic participation action plan.

All projects will undergo a responsible AI and human rights review before public release to ensure they address issues such as privacy, consent, bias, verification, and human oversight.

Live sessions will be recorded, allowing participants to catch up if they miss a class.
