Application is now opened for the Reckitt Catalyst Global Accelerator Program 2026/2027, an international accelerator designed to help impact-driven organisations grow sustainable solutions that improve lives in underserved communities.

Delivered by Reckitt in partnership with Yunus Social Innovation (YSI) and the Health Innovation Exchange (HIEx), the six-month programme combines funding, expert mentorship, business support, and investment preparation to help social innovators strengthen their organisations and scale their impact.

Since its launch in 2020, the initiative has supported more than 80 social enterprises across 15 countries, providing founders with the knowledge, networks, and resources needed to tackle critical healthcare and hygiene challenges.

The Reckitt Catalyst Global Accelerator is one of those initiatives. Rather than simply providing grants, the programme equips social enterprises with mentorship, technical expertise, business development support, and access to strategic networks that can help them build sustainable organisations capable of delivering long-term impact.

The accelerator is implemented in collaboration with Yunus Social Innovation and the Health Innovation Exchange, organisations with extensive experience supporting social entrepreneurs and impact-focused ventures globally.

What the Accelerator is Looking For

The programme is designed for organisations developing innovative solutions that improve health and hygiene outcomes across Africa, Asia, and Latin America.

Applications are encouraged from ventures working in areas such as improving access to primary healthcare, strengthening water and sanitation services, expanding hygiene solutions, supporting disease prevention, improving maternal and reproductive health, addressing antimicrobial resistance, increasing access to medicines, and developing climate-resilient healthcare innovations.

The accelerator also welcomes innovations in emerging areas such as FemTech, which focuses on technologies that improve women's health, including menstrual health, fertility, pregnancy care, reproductive health, and maternal wellbeing.

Similarly, organisations working within the WASH sector are encouraged to apply. WASH refers to Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene initiatives that improve access to clean drinking water, sanitation facilities, hygiene education, waste management, and disease prevention. These interventions play a critical role in reducing preventable illnesses and improving public health outcomes in many communities.

The programme is particularly interested in solutions that can demonstrate measurable social impact while maintaining financially sustainable business models.

Who Should Consider Applying?

Applications are open to legally registered for-profit and non-profit organisations operating as sustainable social enterprises.

Eligible organisations must be based in, or primarily serving, one of the following countries:

• Nigeria
• Kenya
• South Africa
• India
• Pakistan
• Indonesia
• Mexico
• Brazil

Applicants should have at least one founder or partner who is 18 years or older, employ at least one full-time team member, and commit a minimum of two representatives—including at least one founder—to participate throughout the accelerator.

The programme is particularly suitable for organisations that have already moved beyond the idea stage and are now seeking funding, mentorship, technical support, and strategic partnerships to expand their reach and increase their impact.

What Selected Ventures Will Receive

The Reckitt Catalyst Global Accelerator goes beyond offering financial support by providing participants with the tools, mentorship, and strategic guidance needed to build sustainable organisations. Throughout the six-month programme, selected ventures will work closely with industry experts while gaining access to resources designed to strengthen both their business operations and social impact.

Flexible Financing

Selected organisations can receive up to USD 30,000 in flexible financing to support the growth of their ventures. Unlike traditional grants that often limit how funds can be spent, flexible financing gives founders greater freedom to invest in the areas that matter most to their organisations. This could include product development, operational costs, technology upgrades, research, team expansion, market entry, or other activities that contribute to sustainable growth and increased social impact.

One-on-One Mentorship

Participants will receive personalised mentorship from professionals at Reckitt as well as experienced industry experts. These mentoring sessions are designed to help founders navigate common business challenges, refine their growth strategies, and make informed decisions as they scale their organisations.

Business Development Support

The accelerator includes practical business development sessions covering organisational growth, operational efficiency, impact measurement, customer acquisition, and long-term sustainability. Founders will receive guidance on strengthening both the commercial and social aspects of their enterprises.

Investment Readiness Coaching

Raising capital is one of the biggest challenges for many social enterprises. To address this, the programme offers investment readiness coaching that prepares participants for future fundraising opportunities. Founders will learn how to strengthen their business models, improve financial planning, develop compelling pitch presentations, and communicate both their commercial potential and social impact more effectively to investors and funding partners.

Masterclasses and Workshops

Throughout the accelerator, participants will take part in interactive masterclasses and workshops led by industry professionals and subject matter experts. These sessions cover practical topics such as business strategy, leadership, innovation, scaling operations, and measuring social impact.

Go-to-Market Strategy Support

Building a great product is only one part of growing a successful organisation. Participants will also receive support in developing effective go-to-market strategies, helping them identify their target audiences, refine their value propositions, and position their solutions for sustainable growth.

Access to a Global Network

Selected ventures will join an international community of social innovators, investors, development organisations, mentors, and ecosystem partners. This network provides valuable opportunities for collaboration, knowledge sharing, partnership development, and future funding opportunities beyond the accelerator programme.

Programme Schedule

The 2026/2027 cohort will run virtually from October 2026 through April 2027.

During this period, participants will engage in structured mentoring sessions, business coaching, workshops, networking activities, and practical learning experiences designed to help them strengthen their organisations and prepare for long-term growth.

Because the programme is delivered online, founders can participate from their respective countries while continuing to manage their day-to-day operations.

• The programme is open only to legally registered for-profit and non-profit organisations operating in the eligible countries.
• Applicants must be working on solutions that improve healthcare or water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH).
• At least two representatives, including one founder, are expected to participate throughout the six-month accelerator.
• Applications from organisations with sustainable business models and measurable social impact are likely to be more competitive.
