Fiber Optics Engineer - Cobranet

Requirements

- B.Sc / HND in Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field

- 3–4+ years’ technical experience in telecoms or network operations

- Strong knowledge of Cisco switching and routing configuration/troubleshooting

- Good understanding of telecom equipment and multi-vendor environments

- Ability to work under minimal supervision and solve technical problems

- Willingness to work shifts, nights, overtime, and on-call duties

- Hands-on experience with fiber tools (OTDR, power meters, cleavers, strippers, duct rodders, etc.)

Responsibilities

- Handle customer premise installations (cabling, racking, grounding)

- Coordinate fiber activities with engineering and operations teams

- Perform fiber splicing, testing, and maintenance

- Conduct OTDR and fiber performance testing

- Maintain accurate fiber network records and documentation

- Support installation and commissioning of telecom equipment

- Troubleshoot and resolve fiber/network faults

- Assist in fiber network acceptance and upgrades
