Applicants should meet the following requirements:

• Possess a Bachelor's Degree in Education (B.Ed.), Bachelor of Arts or Science (B.A./B.Sc.) with a Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE), or a Higher National Diploma (HND) in a related discipline.
• Have a minimum of two (2) years of classroom teaching experience in a Montessori or early childhood education setting.
• Hold a recognized Montessori Certification or have received formal training in the authentic Montessori teaching method.
• Be currently resident in Enugu State or willing to relocate immediately for this full-time on-site position.
• Demonstrate a genuine passion for child development and early years education.

Montessori Method Mastery

The successful applicant should be able to guide children through independent, activity-based learning using authentic Montessori principles.

Classroom and Behaviour Management

Applicants should be able to maintain a safe, organized, and engaging classroom environment where children feel encouraged to learn and explore. The school values educators who use positive reinforcement strategies to promote discipline, confidence, independence, and healthy social behaviour.

Communication and Parent Engagement

Excellent spoken and written English communication skills are essential for this position. Applicants should be able to work collaboratively with assistant teachers while providing parents and guardians with regular, clear, and accurate updates on their children's academic progress and developmental milestones.

The successful Montessori Teacher will be responsible for supporting children's learning and development through carefully planned classroom activities and continuous observation.

Key responsibilities include:

• Designing and implementing individualized learning plans that match each child's pace of learning, interests, and stage of development.
• Preparing and maintaining a clean, organized, and stimulating Montessori classroom where learning materials are easily accessible and visually engaging.
• Guiding children through activities that promote early literacy, numeracy, speech development, emotional regulation, practical life skills, and fine motor development.
• Observing pupils daily and maintaining accurate records of their academic performance, behaviour, social interactions, and developmental milestones.
• Identifying learning gaps early and implementing appropriate interventions to support each child's progress.
• Creating a positive learning atmosphere that encourages curiosity, independence, creativity, and confidence.
