AG Global Resources Services Limited is an FMCG and trade distribution company that holds key distributorship rights for Unilever Nigeria and several foreign food and confectionery brands across Southern and Northern Nigeria. The company is recruiting an Accounting Superintendent to strengthen its financial reporting, inventory management, and accounting operations.

Applicants should meet the following requirements:

• Possess a Bachelor's Degree (B.Sc.) or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Accounting with a minimum of Second Class Lower (2:2) or Upper Credit.
• Have 1 to 3 years of post-qualification accounting experience.
• Possess at least 2 years of experience in an FMCG, retail, or trade distribution environment handling high-volume inventory and multiple product SKUs.
• Be a member of, or actively pursuing, a recognised professional accounting qualification such as ICAN (ACA), ACCA, or ANAN.
• Be available to work full-time on-site in Owerri, Imo State.

Candidates will be assessed based on the following technical competencies:

• Advanced Spreadsheet Modelling: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, SUMIFS, and Power Query.
• Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP): Practical experience using accounting software such as Zoho Books, Sage, SAP Business One, Microsoft Dynamics 365, QuickBooks, or Odoo.
• FMCG & Warehouse Accounting: Knowledge of inventory reconciliation, stock variance analysis, product costing, gross profit analysis, supplier reconciliation, and accounting for damaged or expired goods.
• Statutory Compliance: Good understanding of IFRS, FRCN standards, the Companies and Allied Matters Act (CAMA), and Nigerian tax regulations, including VAT, WHT, PAYE, and CIT.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Conducting inventory reconciliations, investigating stock variances, and managing warehouse cost accounts.
• Preparing monthly management accounts, balance sheets, bank reconciliations, and cash flow statements in compliance with IFRS.
• Computing, filing, and remitting statutory taxes, including VAT, WHT, PAYE, and CIT, while maintaining accurate audit records.
• Monitoring distributor and wholesaler accounts, tracking trade discounts, analysing receivables, and managing customer credit exposure.
